The "Super Bowl" of beer returns to Denver, Colorado October 9-11, 2008, when the 27th Great American Beer Festival (GABF) taps its first keg. This year, the granddaddy of all U.S. beer festivals offers the largest collection of U.S. beer ever assembled - more than 1,900 different American beers will be available for tasting in one ounce samples.
Several of Chicago's premier chefs will feature their signature dishes in an evening of sampling and tasting on Monday, November 10 at the March of Dimes Chicago Signature Chefs Auction. Celebrity Chef and March of Dimes spokesperson, Rahman "Chef Rock" Harper, winner of Hell's Kitchen (season 3) will also be in attendance to share his story and his newly created folate-rich recipe for women considering becoming pregnant. More than 600 guests will have the opportunity to sample the unique dishes of over 25 chefs representing some of the city's most notable restaurants.
The new guide contains more than 55 new establishments, and features 448 establishments in all -- a number that includes 383 restaurants representing 35 types of cuisine, and 65 area hotels.
